Log Creek Timber Company is proud to offer land owners a full range of forest management and harvest services. This gallery highlights several of our harvests. We take great pride in being environmentally responsible and ensuring our harvest sites are well kept.
It all starts with the feller-buncher. This machine moves in a day or so ahead of the other crew members and begins the harvest by cutting the timber and placing it so that the skidder can make efficient pulls to the loading deck.
The loader’s job is complex and requires attention to detail. A skilled loader can improve the profitability of the harvest by properly routing the cut product to the right mill. Sorting and grading are a continuous process on most harvest sites.
Properly loaded for transport, the driver has only to trim and secure his load. Drivers must supervise each load for possible problems and alert the loader operator as they occur. It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that each load meets required standards and that it will be safe to transport.
The skidder takes the cut product from the feller-buncher and moves it to the loading deck to be sorted and loaded for transport. This is a job that requires attention to detail and being observant of the ever changing conditions on the site.
